Hey everyone!

Like the title says, it's been awhile since my last journal entry... *coughOctobercough* ... that means I have a lot to update on, I guess! So let's get started!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

New year brings along new goals, new costumes and awesome convention times! C:
Lately, I've been working on "Anata no Oto" ver. of Ranka Lee from Macross Frontier~ This version has been on my "Cosplay To-Do" list for a long time now~ So I'm glad that I'm going to be able to do it! Although progress has been going really slow unfortunately! ;___; Between pattern problems, sewing difficulties (I'm still such a newbie! >A<) and personal issues getting in the way of my time, it's been going slower then I wanted it to. And there is only 73 days until Animaritime, where I want to debut this cosplay!  But I'm going into the studio a lot this week, so I hope to get quite a bit done! I still have to finish the dress, make the choker and her bandana thingy, her mic and the boot covers!
Plus, I want to make a lolita blouse to go with the skirt I commissioned from ~KakeranoTsuki~ The design is simple but I'm going to be using elastic thread for the first time! So I'm a little nervous but there is no princess seams in this blouse! HALLELUIAH! 8'D The princess seams on Ranka's dress is killing me, especially since I'm making her dress out of heavy satin, it doesn't ease smoothly for me! I hope to be able to get this all done for Animaritime! :'3 Pray for me guys!! Aha~ I need the luck!

As for cosplay for the rest of the year, I've been undecided between doing my own fantasy cosplay or doing Rena from Elsword (new game I'm highly addicted to playing right now.) Both are elf characters~ But I'm pretty sure Rena would be easier and be a lot more wallet friendly (which is always a good thing.) Either way, I'm gonna be facing princess seams again! = 3=
I'm excited too, since with either my fantasy character or Rena, I get to my make first weapon prop! Being an archery bow and arrow! I've been itching to make a prop to go with my cosplay, especially a weapon! Since most of the characters I do don't have props or don't have weapons!

I'm hoping to be able to fit Lacus Clyne into my cosplay line-up this year too! Since I have the wig and have the clip almost finished. Also, I'm no longer doing Shiki Misaki. That cosplay was for the group and the main person is unsure if they could attend the con we were gonna wear it to, so I took her off my list.
